Marshall von Thalberg

Marshall von Thalberg is an impressive 6-year-old well bred German Shepherd.  He's a large, big-boned guy who looks as though he's a German import.  We're not exactly sure how or why he ended up at a county shelter.  He even appears to have been recently professionally groomed. In fact, a trainer stopped by as Marshall was arriving at our kennel and he just shook his head saying how unreal it is for these German bred imports to keep showing up in the shelters.  Marshall obviously cost someone a pretty penny, but it could have easily been someone losing their home and not being able to keep him.  Marshall is great on a leash and thoroughly enjoyed his photography session with our volunteer.  What usually takes quite a long time for unwilling dogs who refuse to smile for the camera, took Marshall mere minutes.  He rode in the car in his crate on the way to the kennel with no problem and seemed to enjoy being along for the ride.  He probably knew he was lucky to escape the shelter alive.  Marshall asks that you come quickly if you want to meet him because he hates our kennel and doesn't plan on staying long.  He would much prefer lying on a big fluffy dog bed next to your feet. He's sure someone will see what a prize his is and he'll be safe and snug in a new home very soon.
